The Council’s Chief Executive Denise Park has recorded a video outlining the proactive measures that have been   taken to help reduce the numbers of confirmed Coronavirus cases.

The Council’s Director of Public Health has implemented a five-point action plan to help stop the spread and enlisted the help of the community to ensure the guidance is understood and followed.

Due to the additional measures, more testing has been carried out, leading to an inevitable increase in confirmed cases. This intelligence has meant there can be bespoke interventions put in place in the clusters  where we are seeing very localised increases in cases.

The Council has engaged key partners and community leaders across the borough to ensure we are doing everything we can to prevent a further lockdown.
